How do I apply Maiden Masque?

Apply it to dry hair and leave on for 15 - 20 minutes then rinse off in the shower or bath with shampoo and conditioner. Because the mask includes essential oils that promote relaxation, we encourage you to take some time out, breathe in the fragrance and unwind. Maybe do a meditation, paint your nails, have a cuppa or do some offline reading while you wait for the magic to happen.

How much should I use?

Make sure you’ve covered your hair with a fine layer of the mask. Got thick hair? It’s probably best to apply in segments, starting from the bottom layer of hair and working your way up.

Is Maiden Masque vegan?

We only use natural ingredients derived from plants in the hair mask, so we are proudly 100% vegan.

Are all the ingredients natural?

Yes, all our ingredients are 100% natural so they’re good for you and our planet.

I’ve got really damaged hair, how can this hair mask help?

Every single one of the ingredients in Maiden Masque was hand-picked for its naturally soothing, moisterising and hydrating properties. Argan Oil is especially beneficial for your hair type because it’s high in vitamin E and essential fatty acids - the ultimate oil for taming unmanageable or frizzy hair.

Will the hair mask melt in summer and go hard in winter?

Good news - no! Maiden Masque is a luxurious cream (similar to a body butter) rather than an oil/balm so it doesn’t change in different temperatures.

How should I store my Maiden Masque?

In a cool, dark place is best.

Can I use Maiden Masque on my hair extensions?

Yes, it will hugely benefit your hair extensions as well as your natural hair.

Does Maiden Masque expire?

You’ll need to use the bottle within 12 months of opening (and we have no doubt you’ll want to!).

Does Maiden Masque help with hair growth?

When we developed our hair mask we made sure to include products such as Açaí Fruit Oil, which is effective for reducing hair loss. Its omega fatty acids, along with vitamin C, nourish the scalp by keeping it hydrated and creating a protective barrier against external aggressors, which often cause hair fall. The Coconut Oil in our hair mask helps stimulate hair growth, as does Patchouli essential oil, and Castor Oil’s ricinoleic acid content helps increase circulation to the scalp and improve hair growth.

 

Can Maiden Masque help reduce dandruff?

We chose to include Coconut Oil and Patchouli essential oil in our hair mask because it helps prevent dandruff as does Bacuri Nut Butter, which is highly moisturising and high in methionine, an essential amino acid. Shea Butter also helps soothe inflammation and scalp irritation and Castor Oil’s antibacterial and antifungal properties help the battle against folliculitis, dandruff, and scalp infections.
